Re-learn the skill of listening to your body
The idea of ‘listening to your body’ gets lost in talk of intuitive eating and listening to hunger. But what about your feelings? Your emotions? In order to reduce our reliance on emotional eating to regulate our feelings, we must first be able to identify our feelings. Often, our thinking brains are too slow. We must learn to notice how our feelings and emotions show up in our bodies. How do we do that?
