The weekly perspective
One question to ask yourself
What do I notice most about other peoples social media posts?
What leaves you feeling most unsettled? Most in awe? Notice how your body responds as you scroll today. Where do you feel a response? That response is directing you somewhere - where do you need to focus some awareness and action?
Something to consider
“Through fetishizing the inequality embedded in the romance story, women have somehow become convinced that being in, or even vying for, a relationship is something we should want -- regardless of whether that relationship might hold equal power or doesn't serve us.” - Samhita Mukhopadhyay
My life got infinitely better when I realised I could fully serve myself (yes including with Love Honey), and relationships that didn't bring mutual joy (most of the time) were of benefit only to society, not me. It's a love story, baby just say (sometimes) yes
One thing I'd tell my younger self.
Start paying attention only to how your life feels to you
And forget completely about how it looks to others. If you want peace, joy, contentment - this is something you have to do
One thing to try this week
The easiest mindfulness tool ever
As I walked in circles around my kitchen island this morning, I used the opportunity to practice my daily mindfulness. I don't have time to meditate properly (many of you hate it). Every 4 steps I inhaled, every 6 steps I exhaled. Repeat. It's the quickest way back to the present moment you ever experienced - I challenge you to doing it daily
A few things to tell you...
Struggle to eat well AFTER a holiday? Can't get back into it? Listen to this
Do E numbers really do harm to your health? how much is BMR REALLY impacted by PCOS? Listen to Em on EIQ here
One more thing...
Please share your favourite stuff.
Thank you all for continuing to share your favourite Monday email quotes. I see them all. I know how much I love seeing impactful quotes from strangers, so it means a lot that you allow me to hopefully be that person for someone else. f there's something you really relate to or know someone who'd benefit from something in this email, please share it and pay it forward. Words are magical, and if I've learned anything from writing these emails to you for years, you never know when someone needs to hear the exact thing you've got to say.
