One question to ask yourself

Is my year going as I'd hoped / planned?

It's the final 28 days of the first half of the year. In 3 weeks I'll be asking you to reflect on the things you promised yourself in January. Get ahead of it - if someone looked at your life from the outside, what would they say is important to you? Check in on your January intentions and goals - have you taken action? Where have you let the ball drop? Has that served you or stifled you?

Something to consider

Sometimes reality comes crashing down on you. Other times reality simply waits, patiently, for you to run out of the energy it takes to deny it - Taylor Jenkins Reid

If life feels like it's hitting you in the nuts right now, maybe that's because you've finally given it space to come to fruition. Be proud that you've allowed the space for this to happen, and consider, how can I make space for reality to shape me over time, instead of hitting my nuts so painfully in the future? How can I make space for life instead of over-doing until my energy runs out?

One thing I'd tell my younger self.

Settle for nothing less than a love that changes your life - Taylor Jenkins Reid

We're living in a world that puts 'hard work' above everything else. In my experience. this is leading to many of us (and I hate to say it but more so women in this case) martyring ourselves and 'working hard' in unfulfilling relationships under the guise of putting in effort. Like we didn't already. Yes good things take work, but my unsolicited opinion is that we're moving into a world where we're prioritising the ego hit of hard work over 'right'.

One thing to try this week

Move your social media apps

I took an entire week off instagram last week (I try to do this twice a year and it always reminds me that life is for living not for taking photos of to show the world how busy / happy / loved I am). Edit your Home Screen. Move instagram etc. from their usual place. When you go to enter the scroll hole of doom, this will add a little friction and remind you that scroll holing brings you no joy. Ask yourself in that moment, is scrolling going to add to my life right now?

A few things to tell you...

I can't wait to get back to recording new podcasts for you this week.

In the meantime, I pre recorded a first time mother by choice episode on why I got called out by someone (and my apology for getting it wrong) & a Q&A of your questions here

I got lost in purposeless fiction whilst I was away and my current easy reads are by Taylor Jenkins Reid (hence todays content) - I recommend the 7 husbands on Evelyn Hugo, Forever Interrupted & Malibu Rising

There are 285 people on the binge breakthrough priority list and right now I can only guarantee 150 spaces (I limit these based on the number of coaches we have to take small coaching groups to ensure you're all best supported) - these spaces will go to the priority list first tomorrow morning. If you're debating it, you need to be on that list for more details and first access - do that here

One more thing...

Please share your favourite stuff.

Thank you all for continuing to share your favourite Monday email quotes. I see them all. I know how much I love seeing impactful quotes from strangers, so it means a lot that you allow me to hopefully be that person for someone else. f there's something you really relate to or know someone who'd benefit from something in this email, please share it and pay it forward. Words are magical, and if I've learned anything from writing these emails to you for years, you never know when someone needs to hear the exact thing you've got to say.
