The weekly perspective
One question to ask yourself
Where do you allow your mind to go, in those moments of stillness?
Thought postponement is an ETPHD tool we use to support people to develop thought work skills, become more mindful of their thoughts and conversations in their head and instead of getting lost in them, simply give them the space they need without being drowned out by them. Get curious today, in those moments on your walk, your drive, in the shower - where does your mind go? How does this help or hinder your mood? Consider, what is awareness and processing and what is welling and ruminating?
Something to consider
If a woman is ashamed of her body, its movement will be stilled. If she is hungry, she will be tense. If she does not feel entitled to claim attention, she will not demand that airspace to shine in - Naomi Wolf
It's so difficult to articulate the somatic and body connection work we do at ETPHD. I am by no means a dating expert (a truly shocking revelation), but I do consider myself pretty experienced and qualified in supporting people to reconnect with themselves. This has more impact on romantic relationships than the dating advice of any man with a podcast dating ever will.
One thing I'd tell my younger self.
Let things take the time they take. Let yourself start in the mud where flourishing comes from. Let your heart lead the way, outside the bounds of judgement. Let clarity come on the timeline it needs, rather than the timeline you want. Let the unknowing be a place of what could be, of what could happen, of what could go well - not just a place of fear - Lisa Olivera
It's hard not to rush, when we're encouraged to focus so much on the end goal, on the achievements, we can forget that life really is in the process, the unknowing, the experience of learning. This is the beauty of life, not the end goal.
One thing to try this week
Search 'daylist' on spotify
This Lucy Lord recommendation changed my work days, my long drives and my weekend mornings. Simply search 'daylist' in the Spotify search bar and enjoy the most beautifully named, perfectly composed playlist for each moment of the day. Today, feel free to listen into my dynamic relaxing yoga Monday early morning playlist. If music be the food of love, play on.

Is there an argument for low carb diets? Hear the worst piece of business advice we've ever heard this week on the EIQ nutrition podcast
One more thing...
Please share your favourite stuff.
Thank you all for continuing to share your favourite Monday email quotes. I see them all. I know how much I love seeing impactful quotes from strangers, so it means a lot that you allow me to hopefully be that person for someone else. f there's something you really relate to or know someone who'd benefit from something in this email, please share it and pay it forward. Words are magical, and if I've learned anything from writing these emails to you for years, you never know when someone needs to hear the exact thing you've got to say.
