The weekly perspective

One question to ask yourself

Who brings me closer to the person I want to be?

We spend a lot of time clinging to connections, jobs and habits that no longer serve us, under the hope that maybe one day they will again, or because they once did. Maybe that's true. There is always space for love no matter how you've grown. Journal on this

Something to consider

Resting will continue to feel unsafe in our body the longer we praise one another for being able to 'do it all'

Much like minimising appearance based compliments, can we unlearn the bustle culture narrative of admiration of apparently doing it all? We are designed for living not solely for doing (and probably doing to a lower standard)

One thing I'd tell my younger self.

Spend your life loving, not seeking love. Ocean need not seek water. You are already water.

Note: loving. Not people pleasing or boundary-less living.

One thing to try this week

Quantify how you spend your time

This sounds a bit analytical for me, doesn't it? But sometimes, it's helpful to be objective about how we spend our time and if that is serving or hindering us. Do you really need to spend 90 minutes in the gym then complain you're too exhausted for anything else? Does that task really take 2 hours or is it a 1 hour job interspersed with scrolling and snacking? Is it any wonder you're feeling low when you spend 45 minutes today complaining about others and things outside of your control? Just wondering...

A few things to tell you...

Do you binge eat? Details of the next binge breakthrough 8 weeks programmes that's helped over 500 people stop binge eating is going live to the waitlist this week - join the waitlist for the only ETPHD 8 week group programme here

How much dairy is bad for you? And is this why you're self sabotaging?

Why is creatine the best supplement for you?

One more thing...

Please share your favourite stuff.

Thank you all for continuing to share your favourite Monday email quotes. I see them all. I know how much I love seeing impactful quotes from strangers, so it means a lot that you allow me to hopefully be that person for someone else. If there's something you really relate to or know someone who'd benefit from something in this email, please share it and pay it forward. Words are magical, and if I've learned anything from writing these emails to you for years, you never know when someone needs to hear the exact thing you've got to say.
