The weekly perspective
One question to ask yourself
How would a man with a podcast show up in this moment?
This is of most use in your moments of doubt, or feeling not enough. In those moments when you feel like an imposter. Rather than letting it consume you, ask yourself this fundamental question and consider, what would happen if I showed up that way too?
Something to consider
There is never a moment when we are without the power to change our lives. Every moment is an opportunity for action.
I got a mentor recently and last week he said to me, are you someone who takes time ti plan things meticulously or will you just commit and go for it? The latter, I told him, as I’ve realised that’s the only way i continue to take action.
Journal on this - what have you been putting off? What are you waiting for? Will the time ever really be right? Or have you been saying that for longer than you realise?
One thing I'd tell my younger self.
If it costs you your peace it’s too expensive
Journal on this ~ where do you put people pleasing, old values or ways of being above your peace? Is it worth it? How can you change it?
One thing to try this week
Pay attention to the moments in which you feel irritated, because hidden in your anger are often clues to a deeper story.
Notice your moments this week when you feel irritated, frustrated or lose a little bit of your shit. Anger is an acceptable and needed emotion, but curiosity around your triggers will open your mind to more self awareness than any instagram quote ever will.
A few things to tell you...
Stress eating, maintaining your relationship with food when dieting and managing trigger foods were just some of the topics in the EIQ nutrition podcast this week.
Hate mindful eating? Angry at how you've treated your body in the past with your food and exercise habits? You need this podcast.
One more thing...
Please share your favourite stuff.
I'm really trying to have a more positive impact this year (it's where this Monday email spawned from). If there's something you really relate to or know someone who'd benefit from something in this email, please share it and pay it forward. Words are magical, and if I've learned anything from writing these emails to you for years, you never know when someone needs to hear the exact thing you've got to say.
